چکیده
Abstract The implementation of Intelligent Transport System (ITS) technology is expected to significantly improve road safety and traffic efficiency. One the key components ITS precise vehicle positioning. Positioning with decimetre sub-metre accuracy a fundamental capability for self-driving, other automated applications. Global Navigation Satellite (GNSS) Precise Point (PPP) an attractive positioning approach due its relatively low-cost flexibility. However, GNSS PPP vulnerable several effects, especially those caused by challenging urban environments, where most likely needed. To meet high integrity requirements applications, it necessary carefully analyse potential faults failures study relevant monitoring methods. In this paper overview vulnerabilities presented identify that need be monitored when developing These are categorised into different groups according their impact error sources assist fault analysis, which demonstrated Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) Fault Tree (FTA) main discussed in detail, along causes, characteristics, on users, related mitigation addition, research methods used accounting threats applications briefly reviewed. Both system-level (network-end) user-level (user-end) approaches discussed, focusing development challenges scenarios. Some open issues, further efforts should focus, also identified.

Intelligent Transport Systems - Overview and Japanese Systems
ITS R&D activities have been intensively carried out since 1980s in three worldwide regions: Asia-Pacific, North America and Europe. In Japan, although CACS, a navigation system, started already in early 1970s, it seems too early to be accepted in public. Then, from the middle of 1980s, several ITS projects such as RACS, AMTICS and SSVS were initiated separately by the corresponding ministries....
متن کاملPrecise Point Positioning for timing
In recent years, many national timing laboratories have installed geodetic Global Positioning System receivers together with their traditional GPS/GLONASS Common View receivers and Two Way Satellite Time and Frequency Transfer equipments. Many of these geodetic receivers operate continuously within the International GNSS Service (IGS), and their data are regularly processed by IGS Analysis Cent...
متن کاملStudy and analysis of Differential GNSS and Precise Point Positioning
The Global Positioning system (GPS) is used for navigation and associated tasks in wide variety of applications. One of the primary modes of GPS operation is differential GPS. Differential GPS allows more accurate positioning than stand-alone GPS. Many new applications are possible because of the increased accuracy obtained through differential GPS. In this paper the techniques and methods of d...
متن کاملInvestigation of MODIS mission capability in tropospheric delay estimation for precise point positioning
Tropospheric delay is always considered as one of the factors limiting the accuracy of GPS. In this paper, the three-dimensional ray tracing technique is proposed to calculate the tropospheric delay. The ability of the MODIS mission to calculate the tropospheric delay is also examined. For this purpose, an area in central Europe was selected and a MODIS acquisition on 2008/08/01 was studied. In...
متن کاملPrecise Point Positioning for Mobile Mapping
The method of precise point positioning (PPP) using un-differenced code and carrier phase observations in combination with measurement corrections is discussed. The implementation of PPP in mobile mapping is addressed. Two approaches are investigated. In the first, measurement corrections optimized for the work area, including atmospheric corrections, are wirelessly received from a local servic...
